Meet Shuv

A proud born and raised Calgarian, Shuv Majumdar is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Calgary Heritage.

The son of Indian-origin immigrants to Canada, Shuv understands the urgency of delivering affordability, a strong economy, and a prosperous future for all Canadians.

His 25 years of conservative activism started with the Reform Party in the late 1990s, continuing on to work with Preston Manning in building the conservative movement.

Early in his career, Shuv was called to serve in leadership roles promoting democratic reform in Afghanistan and Iraq. In 2002, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for his impact in fighting human trafficking. In 2023, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for his service in Iraq and Afghanistan, and for advancing Canadian interests abroad in a disrupted world.

This experience led him to work with Stephen Harper in government and business over the last 12 years – today at Harper & Associates in energy, technology and investment in the business world. And before that as foreign policy advisor to both him and Conservative Foreign Minister John Baird.

Shuv is a nationally recognized and respected thought leader in Canadian foreign policy and national security — advocating for Canadian energy, confronting foreign authoritarians interfering in the lives of Canadians, and promoting a principled vision for Calgary and our country in a disrupted world.

As a friend and colleague of Pierre Poilievre since their time at the University of Calgary, Shuv is determined to make Pierre the next Prime Minister of Canada, and serve as a strong voice for Calgarians and Albertans.
